PEDERSEN Capt. Peder A. Born in Aarhus, Denmark May 20, 1947 taken too soon November 29, 2003 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Leaves to mourn his loving wife of 34 years, Darlene, sons Peder (Patty) and Paul and his devoted dog Steamer. Also leaves to mourn his parents and a large extended family. Next to his family, Pete’s first love was the sea. He had an adventurous spirit and pursued many interests including photography, the financial world, exotic flowers and cooking. A lifetime mariner who set sail at the age of 15, Capt. Pete sailed the world before settling on the West Coast. We will miss his quiet ways and his unique sense of humour. The family wishes to thank Dr. J. McClelland for her support and caring during Pete’s illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the B.C. Society of the S.P.C.A. in Pete’s memory. A celebration of Pete’s life will take place Thursday, December 4, 2003 on Board the M.V. Sunset Bay II. Boarding will take place at the North end of Denman Street in Vancouver at 10:30 am.
