WATTERS Captain Lawrence (Lawrie) passed away peacefully and suddenly on July 3, 2006. Survived by his two sons, Kellen and Brenden. His parents Captain James and Mary Watters, his sister Shirley Watters and husband Christopher McBride. Lawrie had gone to sea serving on oil tankers and tow boats and then he joined the B.C. Coast Pilots. Lawrie had many friends and in the auto racing field and has won many trophies for his expertise in car racing. Lawrie will be missed by his many friends that he attended school with at Sir Charles Kingsford Smith and Vancouver College. A service was held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church on July 11, 2006. We sincerely thank the many friends who offered their condolence.
