JONES Ivor Llewellyn, passed away peacefully in Vancouver, BC on December 30, 2004. He is survived by his loving wife Marie. He is also survived by his sister Hazel, several nieces and nephews and other family members. Predeceased by his parents and brother. Ivor spent many years sailing the BC Coast with the Union Steamship Company and on tugboats. He also worked with the Fraser River Harbour patrol and was a member of the Vancouver Maritime Museum, Honorary member of the Canadian Merchant Service Guild and Canadian Merchant Navy Veteran’s Association Inc. Thank you to the kind staff at Brock Fahrni Pavilion Providence Health Care. Ivor will be in our hearts forever. In keeping with Ivor’s wishes, no memorial service will be held. In Memoriam To Uncle Ivor (Ivor Jones) died December, 2004. Your direction was unclear. You could not see near. So you dismissed the crew, and the fog cleared. The sea was calm and the light was bright. You found your way on that December day. The coast was clear with Miss Mickens in sight. You captained your ship to the bright guiding light. With your sole mate on shore. You guided your way. She sees where you are, she knows where you’ll stay. You’ll wait for her until that day. Your worries are forgotten and dignity restored.
