DALE _ Jack H. February 15, 1930 - October 15, 2005 Born in New Westminster. Jack died peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Rose; his sister Kathleen; 5 nieces and their families; 2 nephews and their families; many friends and neighbours; and his dogs Pepper and Angel. Jack spent most of his life on the water starting at age 15 on the CPR ship Princess Charlotte. After trying a brief stint in logging, the water called him back to work on his first tug the Point Pelly on the Fraser River. Later he decked on the Royal and was mate on the Royal No. 2 and Royal No. 3. Mostly in New Westminster harbour. Jack also decked on the Skipper G and the Mary Hill for many years. Jack retired in 1984 after 53 years on the towboats of the Fraser River. He will be sadly missed.
