River Pilot
August 7, 1940 – August 7, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Capt. Frank Carosella. Frank spent most of his life on the water, starting with the Fisheries, moving onto the towboats, before working his way to become a River Pilot, guiding ships up & down the Fraser River, a job that he enjoyed.
Frank was predeceased by his wife Sheila of 60 years, and is survived by his children, Mark (Teresa), Gary (Joan), Dean (Evi) and Angela and grandchildren, Travis, Katie (Clayton), Colton (Lauren), Nick, Hayden, Elizabeth, Shawn, Francesca and Giovana, great-grandchildren Emery & Ella, sister Phylis (Eric), brother Chuck (Bardy).
Frank was born in Duncan, BC, before moving to Sooke as a young boy. It was there that he met and started his life long relationship with Sheila. Dad you will be greatly missed.
