DAVIS _ Capt. Arnold (Arnie) W. Born 07-07-28 in Bon Accord, AB; died 21-12-02 in Vernon BC. Dad first went to sea in WWII. He began his marine career in 1947 in Canada’s North. Moving his family to BC, he worked for Vancouver Tug and later Kingcome, sailing North America’s west coast. He led the ships’ officers’ negotiating committee in the 1970 towboat strike. Elected Secretary-Treasurer of the CMSG in 1971, he strived to improve safety and work conditions for ships’ officers. He continued to be re-elected for 17 years until his retirement. He leaves his children: Cherie, Brian, Warren, Jeffrey (Laura); 4 grandchildren; 1st wife Rose-Marie; brother Lloyd; Aunt Germaine Meziere; other family members; his 2nd wife Lillian and her children. With much sadness, we say goodbye. Rest peacefully Dad, you’ve earned it.
