BROWN Ernie January 20, 1928 - November 18, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, stepfather, grandfather and friend. Born on Gabriola Island, B.C., Ernie lived his almost 82 years fully enjoying family and friends, nature and his 30 year career with Seaspan International. After a courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis he passed peacefully at home comforted by his life-long love and wife of 38 years Norene. Ernie and Norene shared many special memories and life adventures together including fishing in the bay of their dream cottage, feeding tropical fish in the oceans of the world, bird watching and of course traditional jazz where Ernie displayed his very unique dance steps for many years. Ernie maintained his wonderful sense of humour right to the end and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him and by Leroy THE cat. A Celebration of Ernie’s life will be held at Northview Golf and Country Club, Surrey B.C., Monday, November 23, 1:30 - 4:00 PM. Please bring your favourite Ernie story with you!
