BRISCOE, Edward James December 14, 1920 - July 2, 2010 Passed away peacefully. Edward was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. Edward worked as a Marine Engineer where he travelled the world and visited many ports. He attained First Class Engineer Status for Steam Driven Ships in 1955. Edward was a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology based in London, England. He worked as ships’ Engineer in the merchant marine, until joining the Canadian Coast Guard where he was an integral part of the design and maintenance of the Canadian Ice Breaker fleet based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Edward and his wife enjoyed the Vancouver Opera and Symphony as well as other cultural events. Edward leaves behind his loving wife Ardell Ione and step-sons Ken, Craig, and Perry and families.
