HARTLEY Douglas born May 1, 1910, died December 7, 2005 at age 95. Predeceased by wife Phyllis in 1991. Lovingly remembered by son Michael Hartley; daughter Phyllis Hartley Goodwin; granddaughter Lindsey Slusar (Dennis); grandson Owen Goodwin and 2 great-grandchildren Katrina and Ethan Slusar. He was a man of many skills, who could do anything. Volunteered 1939-1945 in the Navy where he met wife Phyllis, a Red Cross nurse in Scotland. Worked last 40 years before retirement for Seaspan in North Vancouver and enjoyed retirement greatly building houses for family. A memorial service will be held at North Shore Alliance Church, 201 23rd Street, North Vancouver on Thursday, December 15, at 2 pm. Donations may be made in Douglas’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. “So long Dad. See you in Heaven.”
