ALIPRANDINI _ Aldo Giovanni Pietro February 25, 1927 to November 7, 2006 We are sad to announce the sudden death of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather at his home in Maple Ridge. He is predeceased by his wife Irene and sisters Rena and Jenny. He is survived by foster brother George (Bernice); daughter Ellen (Randy); and two sons Kim (Barb) and John (Donna). He will be deeply missed by granddaughters Alissa, Amanda, Camille, Lindsay and Jessie (mother Sharon); grandson Kenny; and great-grandson Joshua. Aldo was born in New Westminster, he completed Grade 10 at Burnaby South, and at 14 years of age went on to work on the tugboat “Grey Swan”. He got his masters ticket in 1949, as well as marrying “the best woman I ever met”, Irene Higgins. In 1951 Aldo purchased his first tugboat “Sea Cap”, and worked with Irene to build their company, Valley Towing. Aldo enjoyed a full life with family, friends and business associates. A celebration of Aldo’s life will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Maple Ridge Baptist Church, 22155 Lougheed Highway, Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice.
